Is The Inn at Jim Thorpe haunted? Well, it appears so… We’ve had scores of stories told to us over the years regarding unexplained activity in some of our guest rooms. So, we have decided to start documenting them so that we could share them with you. If you’ve had a strange experience at The Inn- please drop us and e-mail and we’ll display it here. David The Innkeeper 9/18-20 Room 315 They had their chair turned upside-down every time they went to sleep. They spent most of the time down at the bar talking to Carol till closing because of the "spooks".  A letter from a recent Guests: David, I am really excited to send you these pictures, I will explain some of them to you. In the one picture I was standing on the stairs facing the front door out on the Inn and as you can see it almost looks as though there is a image standing there with maybe one leg in front of the other holding either a cane or an umbrella in there hand. Also if you look at the brass on the lower right hand side it appears darker, and there is a orb right above it. Then in the picture in the lobby facing the fire place there are a lot of orbs everywhere on the ceiling. The picture with the lobby and the stairs as you can see there are a lot more orbs and something unexplainable on the doors of the elevator. The picture of the front desk is pretty weird there is one very large orb that showed up. The weird thing about this photo is that I had taken the same picture same angle about 2 minutes before this and there is nothing there we also have other photos with more orbs if you would like those too. -Monica and Kevin See the photos here! Hi, My sister, her 3 1/2 year old daughter, and I stayed in room 215 over the weekend of April 21-23, 2006. I had seen/heard about the ghost stories in the inn, but didn't think too much of it. On Sunday morning, my niece sat up from her bed and said "A ghost", very nonchalantly. My sister said "What?", she said, "A ghost". When asked where, she said it was on the bed. Then she just got up and went to play with her toys as if it was a normal thing. We didn't make a big deal out of it, but it made good breakfast conversation. My other sister, who stayed in room 305 mentioned she heard strange noises when she was alone in the room. My Aunt mentioned (without me saying anything to her) that when they went to bed they left the bathroom door open a few inches. When they woke up each morning it was shut closed. She thought maybe her mother/my grandmother was with them..... I took a few pictures in our room Saturday with my digital camera. When I returned home and viewed th em on the computer I noticed something strange on the picture. I have attached it, untouched for your collection. Thanks for a fun weekend. The rooms were nice, the food was good, we had a great time at the wedding, and we came home with a ghost story!
